Every United Airlines traveler is allowed to bring a personal item and a carry-on bag at no additional cost. The only exception to this rule is the Basic Economy travel class. The United Airlines baggage policy prohibits travelers from bringing dangerous items. Explosives and ammunition are not allowed. Corrosive materials/ lead batteries/ poisonous chemicals/ sharp objects are also banned from United Airlines.
